breastfeeding and lactation services

The caring lactation support you deserve.

There are many wonderful reasons to choose breastfeeding for you and baby.

Choosing to breastfeed your baby.

The hormones associated with breastfeeding improve your birth recovery. And bonus – love hormones are released to help form a healthy attachment to your baby.

Not only that, breast milk is the perfect food for your baby! Your immunity from disease is passed to your baby through your breast milk. Amazing!

Breastfeeding isn't always easy though; it's a learned behavior for both mom and baby. Breastfeeding your baby is an important aspect of becoming a mother. You, baby and of course your Board Certified Lactation consultant, work together to be successful!

At Canyon Midwifery we actively promote exclusive breastfeeding. We strive to make a proactive setting for success for all our moms and babies. In order to meet this goal, we provide breastfeeding education and postpartum follow-up care to help you and baby!

Choosing an IBCLC for your lactation consultation needs.

IBCLC is an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. Each IBCLC studies long hours, completes lactation support contact hours with parents, and takes a rigorous exam with others around the world.
